ShapeShift Rebuts Warren’s “Illicit Financing” Claims

Noncustodial crypto platform ShapeShift has responded to United States Senator Elizabeth Warren’s claims of “illicit financing” at a recent senate banking committee hearing, suggesting that she used the platform as a scapegoat to “push” her latest crypto bill.
On Feb. 19, ShapeShift stated in a tweet that Warren made “mistakes” in her “analysis” of the platform at the hearing, entitled, Crypto Crash: Why Financial System Safeguards are Needed for Digital Assets, on Feb. 14.
ShapeShift then denied Warren’s comments regarding its involvement with “illicit financing”, stating it “never handles user funds” and has no ability to “facilitate this.” The platform clarified that it is “not an exchange”, but an open-source crypto dashboard that “connects users” to different protocols and platforms.
ShapeShift CEO Erik Vorhees also took to his personal Twitter on Feb. 18, welcoming Warren to “constructively engage” in the topic of financial freedom and innovation with the ShapeShift community.
Warren has been a vocal crypto skeptic, having made comments in an interview on Jan. 25, suggesting that the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) should “double down” on its crypto enforcement efforts, as the crypto industry is scared for what’s to come next.
She claimed that the previous SEC administration “essentially gave the green light” to open up a cryptocurrency market “full of junk tokens, unregistered securities, rug pulls, Ponzi schemes, pump and dumps, money laundering and sanctions evasions.”
In response to Warren’s comments, ShapeShift is looking to promote the adoption of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) as a way of providing users with a secure and regulated way of buying, selling, and trading digital assets.
ShapeShift is also leveraging its expertise in NFT marketing to help other crypto projects and businesses to promote their NFTs and increase their visibility. The platform has partnered with several leading crypto projects and businesses to provide them with a variety of NFT marketing services, including Twitter NFT marketing, NFT promotion, and NFT advertising.
The platform has also launched a new NFT marketing agency, which is dedicated to helping crypto projects, businesses, and individuals to maximize their NFT sales and create successful NFT campaigns. The agency is staffed by experienced professionals who have extensive knowledge and experience in web3, crypto, and NFT marketing.
ShapeShift is also working to create an ecosystem of web3 agencies, which will help projects and businesses to launch, promote, and monetize their NFTs. The platform is hoping to create a one-stop shop for NFT marketing and promotion, which will make it easier for projects and businesses to launch, promote, and sell their NFTs.
